A few weeks later, the NFL rejected a “Never Forget 9-11” tribute.
In each case, the NFL cited ‘rule violations.
But their hypocrisy is staggering.
There were also rules on the book regarding respect for our national anthem. Although now conveniently deleted—here’s what the NFL Game Operations Manual said:
But when it comes to these NFL millionaire idiots promoting a leftwing agenda, i.e. insulting our nation, our military heroes and our police—-the NFL lets the rules slide.
So, like many of you, I didn’t watch a single NFL game last year. And I’m telling you, there was no bigger NFL fan than me. I’d been a rabid NFL fan since 1969. I was 8 years old when I fell in love with the NFL.
Back in June, there appeared to be a glimmer of hope.
First, President Trump offering an olive branch, reached out to the NFL players, by inviting them to actively participate in possible pardon processes—asking these NFL Players for their recommendations of anyone they claim have been unfairly treated by the criminal justice system. The cases would be promptly investigated.
Whats more…, it was followed up Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones publicly insisting that ALL Dallas Cowboy players WILL STAND for the National Anthem… a plan that was publicly supported by two popular Dallas Cowboy players—Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott
Of course in a matter of days, NFL instructed Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to stop talking about anthem policy. And sadly, he did.
And as predicted, the NFL players rejected Trump’s olive branch.
Now the circus continues with the NFL approved Kaepernick-Nike deal.
Here’s the bottom line: The NFL ain’t coming back (unless they appoint Mike Ditka president and abolish the players union).
So in the meantime, I am enjoying college football as I patiently wait on the XFL. And while the XFL will most certainly not have NFL caliber players… neither will it have NFL caliber a$$holes.
